OK, I have a 13-14 yr old female Golden, Heather, a 4-5 yr old female Great Dane, Princess, and a 6-7 month old male Pug/Malteaze (I probably didn’t spell that right) mutt, Rascal.
My first problem is with Rascal. He urinates everywhere. He does have blatter control. He’s proven that by holding it when he’s on tile, or when an adult is there, but the instant he is on carpet, and he doesn’t think an adult isn’t there, he’ll go whenever. He doesn’t even stop to squat or lift his leg(like he’ll do outside) he’ll go while running around, jumping, laying down. The only reason I know he does half of this is because he’ll do it infront of my lil sister, the spots I keep on having to clean up, and the guilty look he gives me when he knows he’s in trouble. I’m not sure what to do, he had better control when I first got him.
He also won’t stop barking, it’s gotten to the point I’ve been thinking about having his voice box removed but I really don’t want to do that. I’ve tried using one of those collars that sprays a lemon scent in his face when he barks. He didn’t like it, but he barked anyway. He killed the battery on the thing in a matter of days. I really need help with this one as I need to be able to sleep at night.
I also can’t walk him because he’ll suffocate himself. H’s pulls on the leash so much that he chokes himself and he’ll do it till he drops. He’s done that ever since I got him 4 months ago.
Next is my Great Dane. Princess is a great guard dog and very smart. The problem is that she likes to run off. She’s already figured out how to get out of a harness and choke chain, and she keeps on breaking chain leashes. She’ll come back to the house within ten minutes and then will try to hide because she knows she wasn’t supposed to do it.
She’ll also raid the trash and counters when people aren’t looking, and will once again try to hide when we find the mess. We’ve tried a shock collar on her, but she just shakes off the shock.
Lastly there’s Heather, my old girl. She’s a good girl, she just has a licking habbit. She’ll lick her paws bleeding raw. I’ve tried bitter apple, hot peppers and a number of other thing, but she likes them all. I bandage her up but she rips them off.
I think I got the basics of it all, if there’s anything else someone would like to know about their behavior I’d be happy to answer. I just really need help.
I’m remodeling a kitchen and need additional lighting.
Hi,
We are trying to replace part of the bathroom floor tile( age of bathroom 13 years old).
So we measured the tile and it was 4 1/4 inch square. Now went to home depot and bought a white tile 4 1/4 inch square and when laying that , found out that it looks slightly bigger and they are not aligning with the old tiles that are already in place. It was looking so odd so we halted the proccess and are asking for help as we are first timers.
We measured the old tile again and found it was just a little shy of 4 1/4 inch…….a very small difference……..it is definately not 4 inches
please do help
what are we doing wrong……is there a tile measuring a little less that 4 1/4 inch and more than 4 inch?????
I have been sick for the past three days. It was minimal at first and it’s gotten progressivley worse. Symptoms include drippy nose ( not snot, water almost) hacking and coughing to no avail (meaning I don’t cough anything up) and the coughing is almost spasmic, as in i cough live i’m sneezing. My lungs hurt so so so so so bad, and feel so so so so so heavy, I almost can’t breath, I can but it’s labored, obviously not so bad cause i haven’t gone to a hospital. Slight Dizziness, headaches, weakness. soar and achy. Lots and lots of wheezing when i breath out. Also over the weekend I assisted in laying a floor, and the tile. I know there is a history of black mold in the house i was working on. I’m really rather broke and would love to avoid the dr. So any help would be awesome
Ordered granite for a kitchen makeover and ELITE REMODELING in FRISCO, TX made a huge mess – these people should be out out of business. Don’t use them! Not to mention that they overcharge
The vinyl planks are lifting and peeling. This is the third time I have installed this type of flooring and had no problems before. I called their customer service number and an inspector is coming tomorrow morning to tell me if im eligible for a refund or credit. I want to make sure he has no reasons not to give me credit. Has anyone else had a representative personally come to their home and visually inspect flooring before giving a refund (trafficmaster in particular)? It was installed correctly, and I just dont want him to come over and say “oh geesh, you didnt let the tiles breathe before laying them down, sorry buddy, no refund for you…”. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
I am getting my kitchen remodeled and he told me he comes at 7:30 but yesterday he came at 7am right after I was getting out of the shower and I was walking to the closet to grab a towel and he and his entire crew ended up seeing me completely naked. It was extremely embarrassing…I apologized and he said oh its really okay but I am still mortified. Is there anything else I should say?
I’ve got a boxer/greyhound mix with absolutely endless energy. So, about twice a week I will take her with me on my jogs. I go for 3 miles but typicaly take her back home after 2, or just 1 if it’s very hot (I live in Florida). She seems to do fine and enjoy it, though she does come back in and lay on the cool tiles for awhile. I make sure to give her plenty of water afterwards and let her eat some ice to help chill her back down. However, I went with her yesterday and a neighbor stopped me to pretty much yell at me for animal cruelty! Mind you, when I stopped my dog was practically strangling herself to get back on the road.
So, is it unhealthly for dogs to go jogging that long? Should I cut back her distance? I don’t want to hurt her but I thought exercise was good?
We purchased a Moen faucet to go with our current sink just 4 months ago. We will shortly be remodeling our entire kitchen, doing granite countertops and an undermount sink. Can we use our existing faucet with granite or do we have to buy a special faucet?
I know she’s teething, my pup is nine weeks old now and she is so good about playing with her toys but she still goes for my hands…(the hand with the toy in it) like she’s confused or something…and there is a place in my carpet where it meets tile and she lays there and scratches at the carpet until the seam comes up and she chews on it. then she chews on bits of carpet she has scratched up. i always pull her away and so no bite but it doesn’t seem to be improving. i tried the no chew spray on that spot of carpet/tile and she licks it. i’m at my wits end, Also, i’ve tried yelping like another puppy when she bites my hand in play and she doesn’t seem to care, she keeps doing it. i don’t know what to do! any suggestions??
