I am currently in the process of remodelling my kitchen. I just bought a sink base cabinet with the following dimensions: Width:36″, Depth:24″, Height:34 1/2″.
I am planning to buy a stainless self-rimming sink which is 33″ x 22″ (double bowl). I’m concerned that the 3 inch-difference between my base cabinet and the sink itself would not be enough to support the weight of the entire sink.
Should I forget about the 33″ x 22″ sink and buy a smaller size (25″ x 22″) instead?!? I’m so confused. I really need your help!!! Thanks in advance!!! =)

I live in a small, 1 story house with no space to build out or up. A kitchen designer suggested opening the kitchen to the living room by creating an island with a cooktop and island fan above then placing stools facing the cooktop. I’m afraid this will look odd, like I’m running a Benihana’s restaurant out of my house. When people sit on our living room sofa, their view, I guess, will include a ventilation fan. The house does not lend itself to rearranging rooms. The living room is the first room you see when you come into the house. The kitchen is sqeezed in off to the left. Behind the kitchen is our dining room. I have never seen a picture of a remodel where the kitchen opens to the living room, only where the kitchen opens to the dining room. In your opinion, would going with such a design make our house look ugly? Thank you.
My cat is close in my opinion to giving birth. She got pregnant probably just before thanksgiving. What do I need to expect from her? I am currently keeping her in a room with some blankets and food and water away from my dog. How do I know she is ready or is it something she’ll do on her own. She is a loner so being alone is nothing new really. She seems to enjoy laying on the cool tile in the bathroom. Also my male (the father) appeared to be trying to have sex with her last night is that normal? She is young maybe only 8 months old. What do I do??
there is a vent in my room but it’s not really cold in my room BUT there is the vent then my bed then the bunny cage…so i fear the cold air is traveling under my bed and into the bunnies cage. he has a tile in his cage to cool and he is always laying on it but idk if he is to cold or not…

I am attempting to estimate the value of my townhouse in San Jose, CA. I have added solid hardwood throughout, marble in baths and kitchen, the 1.5 baths are both newly remodeled and the kitchen is also (with corian). Last, all windows and sliders have been changed to double paned. Anyone know how I can estimate how much value will be added when a unit the same size/configuration (3b/1.5 ba, 1342 sf) sold for $495,000 without any of the upgrades just metioned…
My kitchen has a pink Cori-an counter top, oak cabinets and a taupe vinyl floor. We just replaced the relic appliances with new stainless steel ones, but we don’t want to do a major remodel right now. I can change the back splash and the paint. Any suggestions? Our style is “2 small boys with lots of toys…”
I’m remodeling my kitchen and Goodwill won’t accept large appliances. Hate to trash them and we know Lowe’s takes them and does something with them. That’s why they’re happy to remove them for free.
