We are remodeling our kitchen floor with white marble tile. The tiles have streaks of grey through them. I don’t think we want white grout, but is grey appropriate?
My shower is white (not tile, but something like plastic), and I’ve begun to notice that certain places where water lays for awhile are turning pink. I’ve also noticed this on the inside of my dishwasher (which is off-white plastic), and on the rim of the nozzel of my sprayer at the kitchen sink. What is it in the water that causes this? Is my water still safe to drink?
We are remodeling our entire condo and the cabinets are horrible oak with white laminate. We can paint the oak and while there is some paint that will adhere to the laminate Im thinking we should try something else. What are our options short of replacing the doors?
I have recently laid quarry slate tiles in my kitchen. The tiles are dark, almost black in colour and look really good. Some of them though, have white blotches on them which I’m sure happened during the cutting process before being delivered. I’ve tried scrubbing them, but no amount of work seems to shift these marks. Any ideas or pointers?
I love the look of porcelain, but prefer stainless because it can be cleaned easier. It is just a personal choice and you have to decide what will look better in your kitchen. Stainless is a little more forgiving if you put a glass in a little hard.
grout, whats causing this. Its not long been laid.
No laminate. Can you lay slate or marble tile over it
i am a very active cook and am remodeling my kitchen. I like the look of Calacatta marble with its very creamy white color but it is too porous. Dont like the look of white quartz. I had looked at corian but it looked pretty lifeless. the best i’ve seen so far is Silestone Zues series. Can anyone tell me of other options?? and perhaps the source where i may see it? i’m located in west palm beach, florida. visit new york city often also.
I really would like a professional looking finish, I am putting new hardware on them and really like the idea of a glossy white NON painted look, any ideas? Can I take them and have them dipped or coated? Thanks!
