I recently moved to a new home in so california, at the San Fernando valley to be specific. I’m looking for a bathroom and kitchen contractor to help me remodel my home. It seems like there are many contractor out there, but how do I know if they are qualified or not?
I have carpet in my livingroom and my dog tore a couple of sections out where the carpet meets in the kitchen and that is vinly tile and there is a metal strip layed down between the livingroom and kitchen. How would I fix the tear where the damage has been done? I do not want to replace the carpet. Could I buy a little larger metal strip and tack that down between the livingroom and kitchen this is mobile home carpet. Or should I cut that section out and lay more of the same peal and stick tile down and replace the metal strip tp cover the seams where the two rooms meet? Any advice would help me. Thank you.

Surplus Warehouse will not give me a price break so I would like to find out where they buy these cabinets and I could possibly buy direct from their suppler of these cabinets. So if anyone know who makes these cabinets that Surplus Warehouse stocks please let me know. I will be grateful……….
I’m remodeling my kitchen on a shoe-string budget. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to afford putting stainless steel appliances. Can anyone offer me advice on where I might look to find good deals? I’m looking through craigslist daily, but are there any other places I should be considering? Thanks!

I’m remodeling my kitchen and there was tile on the walls… Well, it wasn’t really tile, it was a plastic tile-looking product glued to the walls with something similar to thinset, but not exactly — it’s from the 1950s. What do I have to do to get the wall prepared for new tile? The surface is too rough now, at least that’s what people are telling me. Can I apply a new layer of thinset over this adhesive stuff and tile or do I need to do something to prepare the walls?
I am remodeling the kitchen and have bought a double oven, now I need to build the enclosure from scratch but I can’t find any specs. Does any one know where I can look for some plans or saftey specs?
