We recently had our kitchen remodeled recently, and the floor was completely torn out. There is a “basement”, not a real one tho. It is like a mud pit. I don’t know if this is why or what, but i need help on how to get rid of them. Driving me crazy!!!!
I put in a new bathroom floor and when I tore up the floor in the first place, I was going to remove the flange as well. I noticed screws in the top of it, so I unscrewed them but the flange wouldn’t budge. So I Googled flanges and I discovered that some flanges are directly connected to the pipe. So I thought I’d just leave it there and work around it. So I finished the floor and put the toilet back in place only to realize the bolts didn’t come through the holes, the floor is a good 1/4″ higher. So I Googled again and every site says to get new bolts. EXCEPT whoever installed the flange didn’t do it right. Apparently the screws are just straight through the flange in random spots and the bolts just come right through it. They are not in the slots they are supposed to be in. (The bolts come right through holes in the 9 and 3 sections of the flange if it were a clock while the slots they are supposed to be in are at 11 and 5.) It’s looking to me like the only solution in my realm of expertise is to cut the tile I just finished laying and then route through the underlayment I put down and have the toilet sit down in the floor. If anyone knows any other option to help out this layman handyman I would appreciate it.
I am remodeling my kitchen, and want to put in a microwave cabinet for resale value. However, as I dont use a microwave, I want it to be a suitable size for my dehydrator, which is 12½” H x 17″ W x 19″ D. Would that be too large for a microwave cabinet?
My kitten is around 6 months old. I found that he became less active and just wanted to lay around on the tile floor in the bathroom and sleep. When I would rub his stomach he found discomfort in this and would try to move. His stomach is very large and swollen. He eats rarely and won’t drink that much and has become dehydrated. I took him to the vet the other day and the tests came back negative for feline leukemia. They took blood to send off to the labs and they drew some of the fluid from his peritoneum. They color of this fluid was a BRIGHT NEON YELLOW! I’ve been doing a lot of research to say the least and I’m convinced this is not FIP. FIP describes this fluid as being a frothy dark straw color. I looked at the fluid online and this does NOT match the very bright neon yellow fluid that has NO froth in it in the least. I’m not giving up on my kitten, he means so much to me. By the way his symptoms have been occurring now for about 4 days. I just need more ideas to research about. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR TIME.

I am remodeling my kitchen and I textured the walls with a gun. I decided to leave the ceiling flat because it is straight without a lot of noticeable defects. There are some slight things I want to cover with some texture. Are there rollers available for this? Just wanting a light texture and do I need to use special paint?
i have an eight month old wheaton terrier mix who is HUGE. he weighs like 40 lbs. for whatever reason he seems to be in love with my fiance and i’s bedroom. at first i thought he just wanted to be closer to us since we spend late evenings and night in there, but now, i find him going in there at all times of the day, even when my fiance and/or I are in other parts of the house.
i don’t think it’s any cooler in there because we have carpeting. typically our dog used to lay on the kitchen floor because he’s got long, shaggy hair and i guess the tile felt good.
We’re buying a new house, and I love it. The only problem is the kitchen. It’s small and very dated. The walls are tiled, so I don’t know how I can change the look of the kitchen without an expensive remodel. Is there any way to paint over or disguise a tiled wall?

I’ve heard horror stories about contractors promising to do a job (i.e. remodel a kitchen or a bathroom or a deck, an extra room addition) by a certain time and at a fixed price. But as time goes by, they need more money to finish a job. Usually, the home owner goes broke and/or job never finished.
My parents remolded their entire home. The work was promised to be finished w/in 6 month. It’s been a year and the house is still uninhabitable. We have a contract and everything has been paid for as scheduled. We have a lawyer now. But what can cause an established contracting company to fail on their word/contract? Is there a legitimate reason?
