I am wanting to temporarily “remodel” my kitchen. I will be getting all new cabinets in about 2 years or so but for now they need a fresh look. The entre kitchen will be remodeled when we are finished including moving a wall and adding additional cabinet space. Do you have any quick ideas for getting the cabinets painted so they will last until the new cabinets are put in? Do I have to sand them down or is there a faster method to this madness? They are going from wood finish to white. Please help, I am NOT looking forward to sanding down cabinets that I am just going to toss out anyways. But wow are they unappealing as they are!
Thanks
Carpeting a 1400 sq. ft. office. Price is an issue. I would like to lay them directly on plywood floor (no 1/4″ underlyment). Will plywood seams show through? Should I even consider laying them without gluing down? Any experience good/bad? And suggested source? I see them on internet for $.66 sq foot for excess inventory. Thanks!
We are remodeling and bought marble brownish countertops and similar colored vinyl floor tile. Me and husband both disagree on the best color to paint the entire kitchen which would include the cabinet doors. Our trim will be white. We are going to use silver hardware for the cabinets. I say some shade of green, and he thinks some shade of blue.
Regular latex modified thin set . Use white and white only.. May stain through if you use a grey thin set. Don t forget to seal all the travertine 1 st before installing with a penetrating sealer. ( I always do mine twice before installation.
Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
I have a 10k limit to remodel my kitchen. Does anyone have any good leads as to good contractors?
We are having our kitchen remodeled, and I am looking for clever storage solutions. We have three teens. While I enjoy cooking, i am not a gourmet with every gadget, but i would like to find some clever appliance storage.
Clever ideas for corners, chips/snacks storage? Thanks
