I am trying to sell my house and I need to do some light remodeling. How much do you think it would cost to do the following:
- Stain 850 square feet of hardwood floors.
- Add a laundry/utility room on to the back of the house.
- 50 square feet of porcelain tile.
- Paint around 1000 square feet worth of walls.
- Scrape the popcorn ceiling.
- Lay new sod in my backyard (200 square feet)
If anyone can answer any of these, it can be just an estimate, but I would really appreciate it.
We recently had our kitchen remodeled recently, and the floor was completely torn out. There is a “basement”, not a real one tho. It is like a mud pit. I don’t know if this is why or what, but i need help on how to get rid of them. Driving me crazy!!!!
What’s the best way to get the thinset, mortar, grout lines up so the floor is smooth enough to lay new flooring ( hardwood)?
new bathroom remodel
added full bathroom with tub in basement
new kitchen remodel, stainless appliances
new windows throughout the house
new brick walkway and granite steps
new paint throughout
My husband and I both work me 3 to 4 days a week he works 5. It seems since I work less then him I have to do all the housework and his days off he relaxes. He is from England and says that the women there do all the housework. I have told him here in America we share in chores and women are not slaves. I have a 15 year old son who lives at home and he does do his share he keeps his room neat and tidy and mows the lawn and occasionally does dishes and does his own laundry. I have a roll of bathroom tile that needs to be laid that has been sitting there for 3 month. Do you guys think I am being unreasonable for needing some help? I do all the cooking, Laundry, vacuuming, dusting, organizing etc etc………. How can I get him to pitch in?

Now on seeing there is dark blacky scratches (Not deep scratches).
It seems to be like ”pencil marks”.
Can anybody give an idea to remove this type of scratch mark??
I am somuch disappointed on seing the marks each and every time.
HOPE TO GET A SOLUTION
So I’m a 20 year old college guy. I used to live with 2 other roommates, until I forced them to move out because of how messy they were. Our kitchen and living room are connected and covered with some (crappy) thin carpet. I mean it’s about an inch thick, maybe. Anyways, there are stains all over the carpet. Some are from before we moved in, some are there by our own means. It was clean when we moved in, but it turned out that it was just “barely” clean. After a week, the carpet looked absolutely awful in the areas that had the most traffic. Anyways, I’m about to move out of town and so the landlord decides to lay some new carpet and tile in the kitchen. He asked me to pull up this old crummy carpet for him and he’d cut my rent the last month I was here, so of course I did. In doing so, I’ve discovered two different spots that I believe is essentially a colony of black mold. Both spots lay underneath one of the stains that was in the carpet.
My main inquiry here is this: does it make sense for black mold to grow under carpet, even in a location that has had plenty of foot traffic? The stain was, admittedly, never properly cleaned…ever. It may have been kind of wiped up, but when people are drunk (idiots) they tend to not do a thorough job at cleaning up their messes. The stain (on the carpet) is probably about…4 months old (both.) Maybe more.
Should I be concerned? I’ve sprayed both 409 and Glass cleaner w/ ammonia on it, because I freaked out. I don’t really feel like dying because my landlord and idiot roommates. What should I look for in black mold, even the symptoms black mold may cause?

here’s a preview..
Preface:
I’m doing my best to run; trying to make my feet move. Don’t stop! You need to keep running! I told myself. But my feet are starting to feel heavy, my hands trembling of the unknown danger and my head suffering from great pain.
My body is starting to get tired of all the running and dizzy from all the visions and figures. I didn’t want to scream but the pain was so powerful. What’s going on?! I protested. Nothing was making any sense; figures after figures, but none of them were clear. Then I felt my feet gave up; I was lying on the floor, helpless. I gathered my courage to try and look back but there was nothing there; I was alone. I tried to stand up, but my feet weren’t responding.
Am I going to die? Will they kill me fast enough that I won’t feel anything? Or will they torture me slowly to death?
Is this really it? I asked myself, waiting for my death.
Chapter 1: Dreams and Visions
It was already dark outside when I noticed that I was wide awake. The night was so still, not a sound of cricket; just the irritating ticktocks’ of my wall clock, the cold gushing wind coming through my opened window and my dog’s––Puppy––disturbing barks.
I found myself sitting up on my bed; sweating and trembling.
“It was just a dream. It was just a dream.” I sighed, comforting myself. But it was so real. The only difference is that I’m the third person; watching myself from afar. I convinced myself to slumber but my eyelids wouldn’t even dare to close. Every time I try to, I keep seeing my dream, or more like my nightmare.
It was already one in the morning when I decided to go down to the kitchen. The darkness in the hallway was blinding; I let my fingers traced the wall, searching for the switch. I stumbled quite a few times before I found it.
I got down the stairs and grabbed a glass of water. My hand was still quivering; spilling drops of water on the floor.
I took a towel in my hand, clutched my fingers together––to stop the shaking––and got on my knees, wiping the drops.
My mind was wandering of, thinking of things I dreamt. But it was all silhouettes; nothing was clear. Thinking about it just brings me headaches. I sat down––tired from kneeling––on the cold marble tiles, laid my head back on our wooden back door, closed my eyes and tried to relaxed. I breathe in and out some hard gasps and finally stood up.
