Ordered granite for a kitchen makeover and ELITE REMODELING in FRISCO, TX made a huge mess – these people should be out out of business. Don’t use them! Not to mention that they overcharge
It is a log home with natural dark brown logs for the walls, not sheet rock. We have light wood cabinets and light wood floors. I want a color that will go good with everything. I know a lot of people go by the floors and cabinets (which are both light), but I want to make sure that the back splash goes good against the dark logs as well. There is a really light, almost white granite we like we specks of red and black. I think it might be too light with all of the light wood we have but not sure. We also like a really dark green one, a dark almost black one with a dark brown pattern through it, and a greyish one. Any suggestions? We are torn.
A house I was looking into needs a bit of updating. It has a sink and a dishwasher, but no cooking stove. It’s kind of odd. But what I’m wondering is, does anyone know about how much it usually costs to pull a dishwasher out and replace it with a stove? I guess they would have to pull out plumbing stuff and refit it with the electricity needed for the stove. I found a stove for about $400, but I was looking for a price range to see what we would have to look forward to. Thanks alot if you can offer some help.
I asked this question 2 days ago and was very happy with the answers and I want more. My kitchen will contain the following, including a dining room table. The kitchen/dining room is open and 15×25.
1.bakers rack for microwave, etc
2. three 4-drawer tables to go in front of three windows
3. special shelves for dishes
4. two solid wood 2′x2′ islands for work stations, they have two shelves on bottom
5. traditional sink base
6. special cabinet for oils, vinigars, spices, etc, coffee station will go on top
7. fridge
8. pantry with doors for food
9. big 3′x5′ island with shelves, cupboard space, drawers, and serves as breakfast bar with 2 stools
No dishwasher, I prefer to hand wash. The walls will be covered with art and my great mug collection. All these pieces are un-finished and will be stained to match.
My husband would prefer traditional, but I am creative and think so far out of the box, I don’t even remember the box!! Thanks!

I have carpet in my dining room and I am laying ceramic tile in the kitchen. What do I use to connect the two together so it doesn’t look crappy?
like remodeling a kitchen or putting in a new furnace.
I specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodeling and I’m always looking for more business. I’m hoping to partner with some of the local plumbing companies in order to generate more leads (esp. bath remodels). Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I’ve tried print advertising but all I get is telemarketer calls.
