I have a really odd room shape. It has all of these angles and I have like no room. I really need a desk, I mean i’m in school and still doing homework in my noisy kitchen!
I have bay windows in my room which means a lot of wasted space. Is there anything I could do about that?
Can someone give me some tips? Should I get someone professional to come and remodel?
Or will they travel to your state if you are chosen to be on the show? I was trying to find a section that I quality for so that I can enter & hopefully get my kitchen fixed up but they all say “looking for Los Angeles home owners” Do you know if they will make an exception if they really feel you need the help? I am redoing a 12×15 kitchen.
I was quoted ~$11,500 for cabinets and labor (21 cabinets, plus a few filler pieces, plus crown molding). No tear down just installation.
I have an older Patriot single-wide. I’d like to knock out a dividing wall in the kitchen but I’m not sure if its a supporting wall? How can I tell if I can’t get access to the layout or blueprint? The previous owner had crummy cabinets and cheezy drawers made and put in which made it a very tight kitchen area, so I wanted to remodel and just open it up to the rest of the living-room but put in a small aisle for an added counter space. Any suggestion in going about the remodeling of my kitchen? Thanks.

Well, I grew up in this house. I ended up living here with my dad until he passed 2 years ago. It feels depressing here, but my husband and dog and so forth keep me feeling better. The inside is nice, but the bathroom and kitchen and porch needs some work. It has 14 rooms, including only one bathroom. It needs to be rewired for safety reasons and the outside needs a lot of work to look really nice. I live on a farm, back a lane and no one really sees it except for the farmers we lease the land to and a few friends and family. I just want something more, since I have a good job now and land to work with. I could rent it out and build a home. We have one rental house on our farm already–getting 300 a month for that one. This is a small, rural town and I could not rent this one for more than 450 most likely–although it is in much better condition. Should I save more money by not fixing it up so that I can later build a new one or should I fix this up? What do you suggest? 
Is it a big deal to remodel a bath room or kitchen without a permit? Would you buy a house that didn’t have permits?
Is there any user friendly remodel software for kitchens and baths that is afordable. I probably need remodel for dummies, but if there are any home owners that have used a recommended software I would apprechiate it.

we are remodeling a home. the kitchen is really small. in order to make it larger we would need to knock a wall out. the problem is the stairs to teh basement are directly behind that wall. we were told we could easily move the basement stairs to another section; this seems crazy to me. can this be done? easily? we were thinking of moving the kitchen all together to a larger room that is not in use and we were told that it would be much harder to do that then to move the steps. what do you think? anyone have any exp moving steps? seems like a lot of work to me.
