Did Mclovin Get Laid In Superbad?
And as tile just want to know
There’s vinyl tiles in its place at the moment, is it worth the trouble removing those or can the carpet be laid over them? I know those tiles are a pain to remove, im hoping that doesn’t have to be done!
We have bought a second hand house and we have finished doing the rooms up.
Except for the tiles that were already down in the hall and kitchen when we bought the house.
We can’t afford to take up the tiles as it would necessitate the relating of the cement and it would take a pick axe to take up the tiles leaving the houe in a mess for years regarding the dust etc – basically can not afford to have it done properly.
Does anyone have any ideas about how we insulate the tiles/floor as it is sucking the heat out of the house and leaving the hall and kitchen very cold most of the year round.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
Now on seeing there is dark blacky scratches (Not deep scratches).
It seems to be like ”pencil marks”.
Can anybody give an idea to remove this type of scratch mark??
I am somuch disappointed on seing the marks each and every time.
HOPE TO GET A SOLUTION
I have a lot tile that I need to get laid in my kitchen, but I’m not motivated to do it.
Rectangular tiles each of size 70 cm by 30 cm must be laid horizontally on a rectangular floor of size 110cm by 130cm such that the tiles donot overlap. A tile can b placed in any orientation so long as its edges are parallel to the edges of the floor. No tile should overshoot any edge of the floor. The maximum number of tiles that can b accomodated on the floor is
(a) 4
(b) 5
(c) 6
(d) 7
The answer is 6 but how?
i am doing a renovation on my flat which involves ripping up wet area tiles as they have been laid on a nice hardwood floor which i want to polish up.
problem is the tiles have been laid on an inch of cement AND chicken wire. there may be glue under there too. my neighbour in the same block of flats who is a builder, ripped his up and said it was a &)^&(%^&(%* job which took forever and he couldn’t do it without damaging the floor. a friend of mine who has done hers as well said it’s really dusty and messy.
I’d love some ideas on how to minimise the hassle and mess as it’s a small space and I have to live here while the work is done.
Without full info., I believe you have an RC (reinforced concrete) roof and top off with unglazed clay roof tile, which is quite a common roof system in Southern India. You are experiencing efflorescence, whereby the lime content from the RC roof is being absorbed by the unglazed clay tile (I guess the water absorption rate of the tile to be higher than 8%). Everything looks powdery now but you can’t do much. You can try cleaning it but are not sure when the efflorescence will stop. However, you can wait a while longer till you are sure efflorescence has stop, then clean it. You can also change the tiles to a lower water absorption clay tiles or glazed clay tile but I don’t think anybody can give you a guarantee on this. Didn’t you waterproof the RC roof before laying the clay tiles? Hope this helps.
the house we are going to buy (made before 70s) so that means the vinyal is probally has aspestos is laid under the ceramic tile the guy put down all over the kitchen floor. Well the tile is ugly, crappy and uneven and breaking and chipped, and we want to remove the tile and put down linoliam, can you take up ceramic tiles and the vinyal stay in tact, or do we need to hire someone to take out everything to the main floor board? we dont have that kind of money and just need an answer. thanks
Or does the floor need to be leveled with concrete or is there a lining I can use to make things a little easier?
many thanks
