Will Applying A Modern Touch Of An Industrial/studio Style Open Ceiling Negatively Affect The Value Of My Home?

I have a 2k square foot home and have made several upgrades such as revamping the pool and laying tile throughout the home. I was thinking of opening the ceiling in the dining and living rooms, but am unaware if it would negatively affect the value of my home. Also, I do know that an open-ceiling is insulated, but does it affect energy efficiency?
