For Some Reason We Have Gnats In The House. There Is No Dirty Dishes, Or Garbage?

We recently had our kitchen remodeled recently, and the floor was completely torn out. There is a “basement”, not a real one tho. It is like a mud pit. I don’t know if this is why or what, but i need help on how to get rid of them. Driving me crazy!!!!

Anyone Have Better Homes And Gardens – January 2007?

We are remodeling our kitchen, and we liked a kitchen we saw in a Better Homes and Gardens magazine. My wife tore out the page, page Z4 from January 2007 issue. I got this issue out of the library, but no page Z4 (z as in zebra) (Better by Design – Comfort comes to the kitchen article). It must have been some supplement. Does anyone have this issue with this page? We are desperate for the kitchen specs from this article, which they often print at the end of the magazine. Please let me know if you have it, or have an idea what magazine it is really in…thanks!

Would You Think That I Have Ocd?

whenever i do things everything have to be perfect.
like when i eat say I’m eating cereal, like the amount that i eat has to be even in my mouth like i have to have two pieces on the left side and two on the right. When im walking its the same if its a tile floor my feet have o be even on the tiles and stuff.
Getting sleep is hard for me because i will just lay awake all night and just think about everything, which often makes me think of the negatives of everything like mine and my boyfriends relationship up and downs and i tend to get depressed. I just feel like its taking over my life and its annoying.
is there anything i can do?
if i were to go to the doctor would they be able to do anything?
i dont want counseling or therapy. :P
thanks.

How Much Should This Decorating Have Cost Me?

I have had my kitchen re-done, and the final part of the job was to get the decorating done. A friend of mine who is a professional decorator has being doing the job for me at a reduced rate, but one of my other friends is convinced that I had still paid too much. Can you please tell me how much you think the job should have cost? (Then I’ll tell you how much I have paid! lol)
The job consists of:
2 coats of paint (the kitchen is about 2 and half metres by about 4 metres)
removing the old vinyl floor tiles that were there,
laying and grouting new ceramic tiles (for which he moved the appliances out for me, and put them back in when he’d finished)
re-plastering the walls where necessary,
mosaic tiling all around the walls above the work-tops up to the level of the sockets.
It is about 4 days’ work in total.
If you are a decorator, how much would you charge for all this please?
(or if not, how much would you pay for this work?)
Thank you.

Anyone Have A Good Marketing Idea?

My husband and I just started a tiling business, now how to get customers? He had some shirts and hats made up and I am having a magnet made for his truck and I made him business cards.
He is currently laid off from his employer (he is a laborer and the company he works for has no work) He is trying to find another job he just wants to do this on the side. – It wasn’t like he said ” I want to start a tiling business” and then quit his job. Since he is laid off he is trying to think of ways to get some money coming in.

Roommate Feigned Sleep While I Could Have Died Of Alcohol Poisoning- Do I Have A Right To Be Mad?

Sorry, this is going to be long.
OK, I hardly ever drink. I am a lightweight with very low tolerance. Saturday night I got super super drunk off many shots of gin and don’t remember anything past a certain point in the night. Supposedly I had to be carried home and shoved into bed while my roommate was sleeping. I woke up Sunday at 3 pm with bruises on my face, a broken wrist, and blood all over my bed. I didn’t know how I got so injured, so I asked my roommate. She informed me that I fell off the bed onto my face in the middle of the night (my bed is 4 feet off the ground and our floor is tile). After this I laid on the floor for hours, completely unmoving, and threw up on myself maybe a couple times during the night. She said this all very nonchalantly and was laughing hysterically while telling it. I am very disturbed by the fact that she pretended to be asleep when my friend brought me back and that she laid there passively in bed and watched as I got hurt. Am I right in calling her sadistically fu.cked up, or is she right in saying that she isn’t responsible for my actions and shouldn’t be obligated to help me?

Best Way To Insulate Tiles That Have Already Been Laid?

We have bought a second hand house and we have finished doing the rooms up.
Except for the tiles that were already down in the hall and kitchen when we bought the house.
We can’t afford to take up the tiles as it would necessitate the relating of the cement and it would take a pick axe to take up the tiles leaving the houe in a mess for years regarding the dust etc – basically can not afford to have it done properly.
Does anyone have any ideas about how we insulate the tiles/floor as it is sucking the heat out of the house and leaving the hall and kitchen very cold most of the year round.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
