How Do You Keep Yourself From Going Insane Baing Married?

I know marriage takes work and I am trying so hard. But I am just sick and tired of the stupidity at times.
Just the other night we light the fireplace. Well it was late at night and I had to be to work the next morning and the fireplace was still glowing red hot. We left it and went to bed. The next day there was some ashes on the tile in front of the fireplace and it stayed there all day. Well the next day (today) I noticed a bath towel placed over it from my wife and I didnt have time to do anything since I had to go. Well I come home for lunch and she is sitting there watching tv while the baby is down for a nap. Our baby is about 15 month by the way. But on the table is a note asking me to clean up the area in front of the fireplace. I say to myself in my mind what in the hell is this and think to myself just to stay calm. I ask her I see you have a note for me to clean the tiles in front of the fireplace. I then say ” Is there any reason you didnt do it today?” She responds and says that she wasnt the one who lit the fireplace so why should she clean it? I responded and said that it would of taken you less time to run a mop across the 4 large tiles to clean the ashes then to write a note and use a good bath towel to lay across the ashes. She then starts with her excuse that she didnt make the mess so….
After hearing that I could feel my veins getting bigger and thought that was the most pathetic excuse to be lazy I have heard in a while. I started getting frustrated and told her that you live here to. I said maybe I then should only clean up the mess I make and leave everything else alone.
I work full time of 40+ hours a week. She works part time 3-7 M-F and sits at the front desk of a business where she really does nothing but play cards. I told her it would be nice if she would just spend 1 hour a day to just straighten and do some light cleaning.
I am tired of the laziness. She wont cook, will barely clean, asks me to take our daughter a bath at night, make her dinner, etc. She will make her something real quick and then sit in front of the tv and down an oversized meal and then complain about how the baby weight stuck and she has gained to much weight.

Need To Move Light Switch From One Site Of Doorway To Other?

I recently remodeled my kitchen. I had issue’s with the contractor…long story short my wall jack ended up in a very inconvenient location. I would like to move it myself especially cause the contractor left the kitchen 70% complete. Luckily I can get to all the wiring under my house it’s just that where the light switch should go there is an outlet below it and if I am not mistaken it’s in the same circuit. Thanks in advance

Has Anyone Ever Purchased A Gift Card From Www.giftcardtradingpost.com ? How Long ’til You Received It?

My husband and I are about to remodel the kitchen and this site offers Home Depot and Lowe’s gift cards at 10% off. We could use the savings, but we need the cards fairly quickly. Any experiences appreciated.

How To Remove Slate [?] Tiles From A Timber Floor?

We have what may be slate tiles which we suspect were laid directly onto a timber floor. There is nothing to indicate that any cement or other sheeting was placed b/w the timber and the tiles.
We don’t know what sort of adhesive has been used, but it can’t be very strong as many of the tiles move/rock when stepped on.
The tiles need to be lifted, preferably without damaging the timber underneath (which we want to stain & polish) and hopefully without having to smash up the tiles. We might be able to use them elsewhere.
The grouting or cement between the tiles is not exactly top quality, so we can chisel or drill that out without too much trouble, we hope!
What is a good technique for a) lifting the tiles and b) removing any underlying adhesive from the timber?
Many thanks,

Okay Guys, Let’s Hear From You!?

I’m educated, 48 years-old, 130 lbs. I can dry-wall, roof, mow, clean, great cook, lay tile, flooring, carpet, love kids & pets. We always hear how men like younger women. How many like “older” women? I make a good living, have a GREAT retirement and can retire in 7 years. Let me hear from you. Don’t embarrassment me here, tell me that I’m not “over the hill.” Thanks!!

Removing Hardened Grout From Floor Tiles.?

I have recently had the floor of my bathroom laid with slate effect tiles (not real slate). The grout was not washed off properly when still wet and has left a “bloom” on the textured surfaces of the tiles and got into every little crenulation.I have tried cleaning them with water to very little effect. What is the most effective way of removing this without damaging the tile surface or the grout between each tile?
