Hi Community. Can You Use Tile Underfloor Heating, Under A Laminate Flooring If Laid On A Concrete Sub Floor?
Dont label me stupid…lol! Ive purchased wrong underfloor heating mat and wondered what the difference between heating mats really is. (I no, I no…) To be honest, they look more or less the same and I have, in fact, unsed the Thermonet mat b4 which is universal…… please advise

There are some laminate flooring products that are rated for sub-floor radiant heating but you need to check with the manufacturer.
You may not need to bring in an expert as some systems are pretty easy to install if you are handy, but here is an article from Steve Maxwell on casaGURU that might help you.
I have NO experience with underfloor heating, but I don’t think it sounds like a good idea. You can only use electrical appliances, fixtures and fittings for the inteded purpose. If it is not ul listed, throw it out before it burns your house down. If it is ul listed, it has only been tested in the intended application. Your best bet would be to read through the paperwork thaty came with it for any warnings or indications. My instinct tells me that the difference is that ceramic tile won’t melt or burn, where laminate will.
