Carpet Tiles?
Is there a specific way to lay carpet tiles, do you need carpet tape or do you just butt them together ?
Any tips greatly appreciated, thanks.

that depends on how you are using them… if the tile tiles are being laid wall to wall you might be able to get away with just laying them in place. an occasional spot f glue tyo prevent sliding/shifting would be a good thing…
if you are doing a rug of some sort you will have to join them using carpet/duct tape – adhesive side UP to keep the tiles from seperating – if the tiles have a slightly sticky back that will lessen thier movement.
you might want to use a couple of spots of ‘blu-tack’ or the like to hold the rug in place just a little more (test it on the floor first to make sure it doesnt damage the floor surface!)
Cheers
they are quit easy to lay,you just butt them together and stand on them.
It’s a bit like floor ceramic tiles, the best way is to find the centre of the room and work out from there so all the cutting ti done on the edges, especially if you have them chequered.
You could also work off one wall and just have the cutting on the opposite wall, ok if walls are straight and carpet pile all going in the same direction.
The carpet pile direction can normally be found on the back of the tile in the form of an arrow, if you want the pile all the same then all the arrows will have to point in the same direction.
To hold them in place a tackifier (type of adhesive) can be used, this stops the tile from moving laterally but allows it to be pulled up if replacement is required, and would be sold at most good carpet outlets etc.
Otherwise carpet tiles are not too difficult if you take you’re time and have a sharp knife to cut them with.
