Can You Remove Ceramic Tiles W/o Breaking Them?
We are needing to remove about 16 tiles that were laid down before the old basement floor was leveled out. Is there a way to save the tiles to re-lay?

Properly laid down tile , you will not be able to pull it all up. You may get lucky and 1/2 pop up but other than that don t bother to try. If they are freshly laid in the last day or 2 maybe. Any flooring questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there GL
The only time this might be possible is if the ceramic tile had been installed poorly. Particularly if the adhesive used did not bond well to the ceramic tile, then it might be possible and practical to re-use it. You can simply clean the back and re-install
been laid in the floor can be very hard to removed them, but if u lucky sometimes the thin set is not hard enough ,so try to used a chisel and a putty blade and start from one end and just tap it slowed ,see what happen ,maybe if u brake one but can save 15 u are lucky,i wish u good luck my friend
